We stopped by Copper Blues, the newest bar and restaurant to be opening at City Place in West Palm Beach. They’ll be quietly holding a soft-open tomorrow night (Wednesday, May 7th) and plan on their hard open for this weekend to meet the demands of the large crowds. We stopped by during their last day of construction to see how things were shaping up. We weren’t left disappointed.
Terra Fiamma at the Delray Marketplace in Delray Beach is one of the few restaurants at that shopping center that exceeded our expectations. We’ve had experiences that have left us wanting more at the other “hot spots” but Tierra Fiamma was chosen as a lunch spot and with our dining experience, we can’t wait to go back for a full-fledged dinner.
Sand Bar, located on S. Ocean Blvd. in Delray Beach is an aptly named night spot that has a relaxed, college-like vibe, great nightly drink specials and a sensibly priced menu to top it off. Part of the Boston’s on the Beach group of restaurants in Delray, when the weather is right, this is one of our go-to spots to grab a drink with friends, kick off our shoes and relax.
Mussel Beach in Delray Beach is, to us, an exciting new adventure. Some of our favorite meals over the years have been at various French and Belgian restaurants that specialized in pots of mussels. We no longer have to travel long and far because as of December, 2013, Mussel Beach is open for business.
Vic & Angelo’s in Delray Beach is one of two locations in the South Florida area. With another location in Palm Beach Gardens, we found their Sunday Brunch (which we enjoyed al fresco) to be a wonderful start to our least favorite day of the weekend.
Happy Hour is a wonderful thing. For some, it’s a perfect time to get together with friends and/or co-workers after work to wind down. For others, it’s a time to relax and prepare for the night ahead. For us, it’s a great opportunity to score 1/2 off of drinks and appetizers at some of the area’s best restaurants. With this in mind, we headed straight to Mario’s Osteria in Boca Raton.
Of the four South Florida locations of Lemongrass Asian Bistro, this Delray Beach spot may be our favorite. Capturing the energy and the vibe of Atlantic Avenue, sitting outside is a completely different experience than dining inside or at the sushi bar. Under a covered awning, we’ll always choose to sit outside and dine al fresco.
Blink and you’ll miss this hole-in-the-wall burger joint that has been secretly (or not so secretly) delivering some of the best burgers in South Florida since 1974. Located within a former gas station, it will take some focused eyes to spot it on the side of the road as it’s hidden behind a wall of greenery.
