Banana Boat in Boynton Beach
Banana Boat in Boynton Beach has been open and serving South Florida for as long as we’ve been alive and by the looks of our visit this past weekend, it looks as though they’re not going anywhere, any time soon.
Since 1978 Banana Boat has been a waterfront mainstay in the area, serving lunch and dinner during the week and a great breakfast on Sundays. With 250 feet of dock space for boats that make their way up and down the intracoastal, the wraparound decks are perfect for enjoying the waterfront views while taking in a drink or a full meal.
There are bar areas both inside and out on the deck to accommodate all revelers and if it’s either to wet or too hot, diners can still have a great time inside.
During our visit we sampled their Pecan Crusted Tilapia and the Florida Mahi, served with vegetables and grilled shrimp. The portions were on the smaller side, but for the low price (with the stellar atmosphere) this was to be expected.
Weekends can get a bit crazy at Banana Boat so they do offer complimentary valet parking at the restaurant. This was a welcome sight as their lot was completely full, yet we were able to hop in and out in no time flat.
Banana Boat had everything that we wanted. It was a family friendly spot that had a great view and wonderful drinks and cuisine. We’ll head back there again to enjoy all that it had to offer.
